Fifth Street Banking Center Hosts a New Friendly Face

Posted

As a pillar of the City of St. Charles since 1867, First State Bank is joining the celebration of the city’s 250th anniversary by hosting a statue of Seaman the dog at our 206 N. Fifth Street banking center.

Chosen because the Newfoundland breed was known to be smart and strong, Seaman was the only animal survivor of Lewis and Clark’s western expedition from the Mississippi River.

Twenty-five statues of the famous canine are being decorated and displayed at various locations throughout the city. Our very own Seaman sports money in various denominations as well as a First State Bank dog tag. The 3 foot statue can be found outside the north entrance of our 206 N. Fifth Street banking center.

Feel free to stop by and snap a photo with our newest bank team member, Seaman. If you’re a Snapchat user, check out our filter and share on social media using #stc250.
